"As children, we are told to follow our dreams. Sometimes, we lose sight of those dreams as we become adults."
- Angela Davis, psychology major and 2017 Father Pocetto Scholarship Award recipient
"The ACCESS program at DeSales University provides the education and opportunity for students to bring those childhood dreams back to life," said Angela Davis, a Psychology Major in the ACCESS Program at DeSales, and a 2017 Father Pocetto Scholarship Award recipient. "I'm honored to have received this scholarship, thank you so much!"
The Pocetto Scholarship is named in honor of Fr. Alexander T. Pocetto, OSFS, retired senior vice president of DeSales University and one of the founders of the ACCESS program in 1976.
Pocetto Scholarships are awarded annually to current ACCESS at DeSales students in good academic standing who have completed at least five college courses.
Applicants must also submit an essay that answers the question, “what does the pursuit of higher education mean for me?”
