On Wednesday, July 13, Wendy Krisak, director of counseling and DeSales alumna, will testify before the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) of the United States Senate, chaired by Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN). The testimony is for a roundtable discussion entitled “Campus Safety: Improving Prevention and Response Rates.”
The HELP roundtable will examine the prevalence of bullying and hazing at colleges and universities and efforts designed to reduce and prevent incidents. Krisak will give her perspective on the topic and its impact on student learning. She will also offer recommendations on how to improve campus safety in these areas, including programs and activities she oversees on the DeSales campus.
